The Technical Services Division is responsible for
coordination, facilitation of agricultural infrastructure
development in the Agricultural Development Area (ADA
land) and Department of Agriculture premises. The
responsibilities covers services on various operation includes
mechanical and agricultural engineering supports,
development and maintenance of agriculture infrastructure
such as building, access and farm road, irrigation and
drainage, the supply of main electrical and domestic water
requirement as well as Department stock obliterating.
The main activities of the Units under the Technical Services Division are:
- Drainage and Irrigation – Recognize and consider
existing drainage and irrigation system for enhancement
or improvement following developments projects currently
or will be handled by consultants.
- Infrastructure – Provide civil engineering services for facilitating farm infrastructures under the Department of Agriculture which involves managing and coordinating projects under the NDP and other projects handled by consultants through Public Works Department and providing land surveying services if required by the Department.
- Project Rehabilitation – Ensure existing and new farm infrastructure projects under the Department of Agriculture that requires improvements and restoration are in excellent condition.
- Mechanical – Provide mechanical services including repair works on the Department’s transportation vehicle, agricultural machinery and utensils and managing stock obliteration process of the Government’s asset under the Department.
- Building – Provide civil engineering services for all buildings under the Department of Agriculture in all four districts which involves building management and coordination of building projects under NDP or other projects handled by consultants through Department of Public Works.
