AGRI-FOOD AND HANDICRAFT SALE CURRENTLY HELD FOR UPCOMING HARI RAYA
FESTIVITIES IN RIMBA
An Agri-Food and Handicraft Sale is being to coincide
with upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celeberation at the Horticulture
And Business Centre in Rimba, Gadong. About 19 vendors are taking
parts. Products on offer include prawn, fish and vegetable crackers.
The daily sale goes on for 3 months and open from 8 in the morning
until 6 in the evening.

Bandar Seri Begawan – In conjunction with the
upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration, various types of food
such as 'keropok', biscuits, cakes, traditional local food, as
well as frozen food are currently being sold at the Agri-Food
and Local Handicraft Bazaar at Horticulture Centre in Rimba,
Gadong.
The bazaar was officially launched yesterday by the Deputy
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Industry and Primary
Resources, Pengiran Hajah Mariana binti PDNLDR Pengiran Haji
Abdul Momin.
According to the organiser, a total of 19 local product
entrepreneurs have registered to participate in the Hari Raya
sale and the number are expected to increase.
Also available at the bazaar include local made handicraft
products. It is hoped that the bazaar would become a public
destination to buy local made products from local entrepreneurs.
The bazaar is open daily from 8am to 6pm.

Bandar Seri Begawan - Nineteen local small and
medium enterprises are participating in the Hari Raya Agri-food and
Local Handicrafts sale at the Horticulture Centre in Rimba.
The event, which opened yesterday, is hoped to attract consumers to
support locally manufactured products and boost commercial
transactions for participating merchants.
"We are very thankful for the opportunities given to us by the MIPR
(Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources), especially for
providing us today with a place for us to conduct business," Hj
Ilias, a representative from the Agri-food market said.
This, he said, will surely boost local entrepreneurs' spirits and
encourage them to be more aggressive in marketing their produce.
Although the centre was established a couple of years ago, due to
lack of patrons, the venue has seldom been utilised to its maximum
potential.
The venue, which is opened on a permanent basis from 8am to 6pm
daily.
"As long as they (interested companies) are producing local
products, they qualify for a booth here," Khairulazman Haji Tamin,
General Manager of Syarikat Marimin, told The Brunei Times.
The centre is capable of housing more than 30 companies. "Hopefully,
more companies will join," he said.
Present to officiate the soft launch of the Hari Raya Agri-food and
Local Handicrafts sale was Deputy Permanent Secretary of MIPR
Pengiran Hajah Mariana binti Pengiran Dipa Negara Laila Diraja
Pengiran Haji Abdul Momin.
Among participating firms were Syarikat Marimin, Tasconi's and
Sahamada Corporation.
