Fees charged for services rendered such as issuance of Plant Import Permits and Phytosanitary Certificates, disinfection and treatment will be borne by the importers.

INCONTRAVENTION OF THE RULES

The Department of Agriculture, UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE CAP 43, Agricultural Pests and Noxious Plants Act, has the right to detain and inspect all plants and plant materials on arrival.

Any import of plants and plant materials found to be in contravention of Plant Quarantine Rules will be confiscated and destroyed without compensation or returned to the country of origin at the importer's own expense. The importer will also be subjected to prosecution.

The Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources will not be responsiblefor damage and loss of plants and plant materials during inspection, detention, disinfection or treatment at the Post Entry Quarantine.
