The Department of Agriculture promotes sustainable and competitive agribusiness, focusing oh high quality and safety while ensuring food security for the people of Brunei Darussalam through: Agriculture Entrepreneurs; Optimum use of Resources and Effective Technologies.

1. Review and reformulate agricultural policy and identify the guidelines/acts required.
2. Enhance and strenghten public and private finance and investment.
3. Fully utilise human resources and upgrading staff capacity and capabilities.
4. Stengthen support program to stimulate agribusiness development.
5. Improve agri-food marketing through effective market information and production distribution system.
6. Building stakeholder capacity and relationship.
7. Increase productivity and downstream processing through appropriate technology.
